On April 14th, a mountainous region of Tibet, in western China's Qinghai province, was hit with a 6.9 magnitude earthquake. The tremor has caused over 600 deaths, injured thousands, and collapsed or damaged the majority of homes and schools in the area. With many of the survivors now forced to live outdoors, the concern for their health and safety is great due to the rugged terrain and below-freezing nighttime temperatures.
